modelling portfolio tips
Looking for work as a model? Then like any job you need a c.v., but when you're becoming a model your curriculum vitae which you need - it's a portfolio. So here are some handy tips from the stylists and photographers on Fashionising.com - the people who'll be giving you work - on putting together your modelling portfolio.
  • Select your photos carefully - far too many people distribute photos of themselves looking hot... while out on the town. A blurry photo of you some what drunk doesn't look professional, and won't find you professional work.
  • That doesn't mean to say that you need to get some expensive pictures taken first. You can have a friend take some effective head and body shots that will communicate you and your personality.
  • Show your personality in your photos, often it comes to how interesting you are in your photo.
  • Be honest about yourself. Whether it's your height, weight, or bust size be honest about them. It's better to miss out on a job for being too short or too slim, then to never get work again because you've been branded a fibber.
